AD bulletins are published by the German associations working together in the "Arbeitsgemeinschaft Druckbehälter" (Pressure Vessel Working Group). AD bulletins describe technical safety requirements placed on the materials, manufacture, calculation, equipment and testing of pressure vessels as defined by the Pressure Vessel Regulation. The AD bulletins are supplemented by the Technical Norms for Pressure Vessels (TRB).
