A copper alloy with more than 60 % Cu and classified according to the main additives in tin bronze, aluminium bronze, cast leaded tin bronze and specialty bronzes. Leaded bronze (DIN 1716) has a lead content of up to 35% and displays good emergency running properties by virtue of the lead components embedded in the copper. The use of bronze as a face material is limited to just a few special applications. |
