By positioning an O-ring in the right position on the rear of a high-duty mechanical seal's stationary seat, the hydraulic forces acting on the stationary seat can be balanced e.g. by means of buffer fluid pressure. Its geometrical stability is increased accordingly, and deformations are prevented. |
