Cyclone separators | ||
Cyclone separators are employed to clean
mostly aqueous liquids containing contaminants and solids. The optimum separating effect
is achieved when the specific weight of the solids is distinctly higher than that of the
carrier liquid, and when the differential pressure is as large as possible within the
permissible range. Effects are also exerted by the viscosity of the medium. While the
cleaned liquid is extracted at the top connection, the separated product is conveyed to
the pump's suction pipe joint. The cyclone separator must be installed vertically, the pressure at outlets C and B needing to be lower than that at inlet A. |
