Scrapers

are moulded elements made of non-metallic or metallic materials. In mechanical seals their job is to protect and to keep clean the dynamic secondary seals and their sealing faces. Examples of application:

• SIn agitator mills, plastic scrapers prevent grinding medium and abrasive ground stock from penetrating into the gap between the seal face and the dynamic secondary seal .

• In mixers, dryers and glue applicators etc., metallic scrapers are used to scrape off adherent media (glue, polymers).

• In cases of shaft displacement.
