Agitator drives are used to power the agitation mechanisms in agitators. A distinction is drawn between top, side and bottom (or floor) drives, depending on the direction from which the agitator shaft enters the agitation vessel. Agitation vessels (with the agitator and all other accessories) for top drive systems are standardized.
